Intro and Starter Agility Classes

Intro to Agility is a class for establishing a foundation for the basic exercises and behaviors needed to be successful in the sport of agility. The goal is to enhance the handler/dog relationship while being introduced to flatwork, clicker training and exposure to the agility equipment.  Dogs entering this class will need to have basic obedience (sit, down, stay and recall)

Beyond Intro Agility is a class for those who have completed the requirements of the Introduction to Agility class or have been pre-approved by the instructor.  This level class will build on the foundation skills and equipment knowledge developed in the introduction classes, while strengthening the relationship between handler and dog.  We will work to increase and solidify the dog’s confidence on the contact obstacles and work on building short sequences.

Cost: $ 160/ 8 weeks

Starters Advanced Agility is a class for those who have become familiar and knowledgeable with all agility equipment, have successfully completed short sequences and have a clear understanding of the skills and behaviors necessary to begin moving into a trial setting. This class will focus on the continuation of strengthening skills and improving handler maneuvers.  Instructor pre-approval/assessment is required.

Beginner Agility is for approved older puppies and dogs. This class focuses on building small sequences and continuing to focus on groundwork. The class aims to build confidence and focus around equipment. Skills will build upon each other and will build a solid foundation for teams hoping to start agility, whether it be competitive or fun!

When: Fridays 11:00-12:00

Cost: $ 150/ 6 weeks

Cost: $160 / 8 weeks.   Class size limited to 6 dog/handler teams
