I have been involved in dog training since 1980, when I began as an assistant trainer for the Lutherville/Timonium Recreation Council. I, then became the Training Director at Falls Road Animal Hospital in 1985 and remained in that position until 2011. In 2013 I joined the Branchwater Training Center family. I am certified by the American Kennel Club as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator which includes
Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, Urban Canine, Star Puppy, Farm Dog, Trick Dog and Canine Behavior/Aggression. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer/Knowledge Assessed. I am a member of the Certified Council of Dog Trainers(CCDT) and the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors(NADOI).

I have participated in dog sports for many years, including conformation, obedience, agility and barnhunt. I have titled dogs at the level of utility in Obedience, through the level of masters in agility and masters in barn hunt. I am currently showing in agility AKC and USDAA, at the masters level, and barn hunt at the masters level, also. I attend seminars and workshops to keep current on the latest training methods. I teach with a balanced approach always stressing positive training and reinforcement.

I currently breed and show Miniature Poodles. I own three poodles, Kahlua who is 14 and shows in barn hunt at the masters level. Moxie, who is 8 years old. and show in agility and barn hunt, both at the masters level. Paisley who is up and coming in agility and rally obedience. All three of my dogs are also titled in AKC trick dog.

I have recently retired from a career in Orthodontics and will be devoting my time to teaching obedience classes, working with barn hunt and doing private work in animal behavior.
